GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Relying on rookies for key positions has hurt the Green Bay Packers in some respects.
Coach Mike McCarthy says he's not asking any one player to do something they're not capable of.
But, McCarthy is clearly irritated by James Jones' inability to hang on to the ball in the first quarter of Sunday's loss the Chicago Bears in Green Bay.
And he isn't happy DeShawn Wynn had to leave the game because of cramping after only one series in which he rushed four times for 59 yards and a touchdown.
McCarthy yanked Jones after his second fumble and put him back in the game only after Greg Jennings injured his shoulder.
The coach says the fact Jones fumbled on a nearly identical play on the very next possession was something he couldn't tolerate.
