MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin fifth-year senior wide receiver Luke Swan will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a possible career-ending torn hamstring.
Coach Bret Bielema says Swan is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday.
Swan had two touchdowns this season and was averaging 18 yards a catch.
Bielema says the injury sustained at the end of Wisconsin's game against Illinois on Saturday could be career-ending, depending on its severity.
Swan's loss is a blow to the Number 19 Badgers following the team's first loss of the season against the Illini.
Swan joined the team as a walk-on in 2003.
He red-shirted his first year and didn't see any action until last season when he had five touchdowns and 595 yards receiving.
He had 451 yards so far this year.
