EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- A prosecutor says he's reviewed the matter, and no one will be charged in an altercation between high school football coaches and a parent of one of their players after a demoralizing loss three weeks ago.
Dr. Chris Haugen, whose son is starting quarterback for Eau Claire Regis, had filed a complaint with Owen police saying he was shoved by coach Stu Brown and his assistant coach and son Todd Brown during the incident. It followed a lopsided loss at Owen-Withee.
But Clark County District Attorney Darwin Zweig says criminal charges aren't warranted.
He says in a statement that everyone involved needs to work on perspective and a mature response to adversity.
