Pull out your clubs and get ready to hit the links. It's once again time for the NewsChannel 7 Golf Classic, now in its 50th year.
The four-day event started Thursday with the Senior Men's Tournament. More than 80 golfers from across Northcentral Wisconsin teed off with the hopes of raising the champions trophy at the end of the day Friday.
This is the 4th year of senior tournament, and as the event grows so does the competition.
"This is the premiere amateur golf event in Northcentral Wisconsin. Everybody who plays golf wants to play in the Channel 7. Its a joy and a privilege to play," said 2009 Senior Champion Stephen Rollins.
Golfers will go out Friday morning for one more round.
This year history could be made. Last year's champion is towards the top of the leader board. If he wins he would be the first back-to-back champion.
