3 weeks from today (Thursday), the 50th edition of the NewsChannel 7 Golf Classic gets started with the senior men.
Saturday July 31st is the Classic itself.
Returning to the field this year are 2005 champ Matt Haase and 2005 runner-up Kelly Kretz. Haase, from Medford, and Kretz, from Antigo, are teammates at the University of Marquette.
Haase and Kretz were at their best 5 years ago at the Wausau Country Club, which is where the Classic returns for it's golden anniversary.
