The weekend has gotten off to a rough start for snowmobile fans.

Three separate snowmobile accidents have been reported across the state within a 16-hour span. A total of six people have been injured.

One happened about 10:30 this morning in the Town of Hubbard.

Dodge County authorities say an Iron Ridge man was riding with his 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter when he crashed head-on with another Iron Ridge man.

The father and daughter were airlifted to a hospital.

And authorities in Marathon County say a deputy suffered minor injuries this morning when he as run over by an intoxicated snowmobiler.

The 47-year-old suspect has been taken into custody and a lieutenant at the Marathon County Sheriff's Department says charges will be referred to the district attorney's office.

A third crash yesterday involved a Sawyer County sheriff's deputy. Authorities say a man's snowmobile swerved in front of the deputy's car. The man was thrown from the vehicle and broke his leg.
