Some people who didn't do so already this winter - purchased shovels and salt bright and early...doing what they can to prepare for the snowstorm. A cashier says many people started buying winter supplies yesterday.
Shari Overton, a cashier at Ace Hardware says shovels are almost sold out. "Every fifth or sixth customer was buying salt," she said.
Some employees at the hardware store made a change of plans due to the snowstorm. Overton is leaving work early and she is not alone. The Department of Transportation recommends no one travel if they can help it.
Other things you can do to stay safe is always have an emergency kit with you. Never drive without your cell phone. Also, bring food and water just incase you get stuck.
