SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (AP) -- At first glance, it seems like it was a very good quarter at Sun Prairie High School: About 80 percent of the students made the honor roll.

But school officials say that was a mistake. A district official used the wrong grade point average to put together the third-quarter list.

Sun Prairie High School Principal Paul Keats says about 700 students should have been on the honor roll, not the more than 1,300 who were.

Keats says the list is intended for students who earn better than a B average. The third-quarter list included everyone who had a C or better average.

A corrected list has been posted on the high school's Web site.
