WISCONSIN RAPIDS. (AP) -- The principal at Wisconsin Rapids' Lincoln High School says counselors will continue to be available this week for anyone who needs support following the death of a student on prom night during the weekend.

Gus Mancuso says word of the crash reached the school fairly quickly Saturday night, and he gathered the school's crisis team.

A preliminary report from the Wood County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Andrew Neitzel died after he lost control of his vehicle along County Trunk P in Rudolph, and he was ejected.

Two passengers were treated and released.

Mancuso says the three students were thought to be on their way to the prom when the accident took place.
