FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Three children were among five injured in a collision between a school bus and two garbage trucks in Fond du Lac County.

The school bus was stopped on a street in Theresa to drop off a student Monday afternoon.

Police say the bus was hit from behind by a Waste Management truck. That truck was then struck by a second Waste Management truck.

The driver of the second truck had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by helicopter to a suburban Milwaukee hospital.

The 75-year-old bus driver was taken to a Fond du Lac hospital. The 14-year-old girl being dropped off, as well as two other students, suffered minor injuries. There were 11 students on the bus at the time.

Investigators say the bus had its warning lights on and its stop arm extended when it was hit.

I kind of feel sorry for the kids, because i ride a bus and when ever a kid gets dropped off the lights are clearly flashing and the stop sighn is blinking, so the waste management driver, ( the first one ) must have not been paying attention or doing something he shouldnnt have been doing, while the other guy behind him had no clue what just went on since he was behind the other truck so he crashed.
