CEDARBURG, Wis. (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin have received a rousing reception in their first joint appearance in a politically vital state after the GOP convention.

McCain and Palin were loudly cheered and applauded on the main street of Cedarburg, Wis., a suburb of about 11,000 people near Milwaukee. More than a thousand people jammed the streets to see McCain and the Alaska governor, his suprise choice for the vice presidential nomination who proved to be the hit of the convention.

Many people in the audience held digital cameras and video cameras above their heads to get a shot as McCain's "Straight Talking Express" bus rolled into town. Palin said it was their intention to bring their campaign from the convention to "small town America" like the small town in Alaska where she once was mayor.

In response to the Kathy Nichole dribble... When are the Libs going to stop getting their information from Liberal smear sites.such as Move On and Code Pink. the AP is reporting that both Palin's son and Biden's son are going to Iraq. Only they failed to mention Palin's is going as a soilder in one the most dangerous areas... and Biden's son is going as a lawyer! There is a slight difference. Obama has voted "present" 130 times!! And this guy wants to be the Pres? When we are attacked by terrorists, what is Obama going to do.... obstain from making a decision? Obama has done NOTHING to show he is capable of the presidency. With the loss of jobs overseas, I find it ironic that nobody mentions that it started when NAFTA was signed...... by CLINTON! McCain/Palin are the only candidates that give the American citizens a chance to get control back from the Lobbies/special int. groups and Big business. To the Libs...keep making stuff up... it shows your desperation.

Why is no one talking about the fact that Palin is corrupt? She lied in her speech. She said that she lowered taxes when in truth she raised them. She also failed to mention the 75 million dollars received via the lobbyist firm. A town of 6700 people needed this much money…for moose hunting, I guess. Was also for the bridge to no where before she voted against it…etc. Best flip flopper of all time! It’s the same old Bush policies, same old GW speech writers. I am so glad he picked her to be vp! If they win this year, it would just prove that our country has been turned over to criminals once and for all. When Palin came to office as mayor there was no debt. When she left that position they were in the hole by 22 million. What a maverick and true reformer she is! I would advise you economically challenged republicans to do the research but I realize that you represent the 51% or our country that are illiterate. I'm sure you can't even read. Mccain used to never mention his POW time because it was not honerable to expect support for the sacrifice's he made for his country. As the Good Book says, " O' morning star look how far you've fallen from grace." Mccains horns are showing!
