STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- If Wisconsin Republicans are worried about John McCain carrying the state in November, they aren't showing it.

Party faithful gathered for the annual state convention on Saturday say the table is set for a McCain victory in the fall over presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

They say the key to victory will be focusing on issues that attract independent voters and conservative Democrats and then making sure those people vote.

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker says for McCain to win, he needs to turn out the blue collar Democrats who supported Ronald Reagan.

Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus says McCain is the worst nightmare for Democrats and he pledged to deliver the state for him.
