MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A new poll shows that 63 percent of Wisconsin residents support a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq.

The poll released Wednesday also shows 55 percent support decreasing the number of U.S. troops in Iraq. Only 15 percent support an immediate withdrawal.

45 percent say Democrats would do a better job of handling the situation in Iraq compared with 25 percent who say Republicans would.

The University of Wisconsin Survey Center's Badger Poll of 521 people was taken between April 15 and April 24. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
