Army Captain Josh nNichols is home on leave from the war in Iraq.

When he arrived at the airport, his family and friends welcomed him home with hugs and kisses and gave him some of the stuff he's been missing the most...
like Wisconsin cheesecurds and brats.

Those things are very nice, but, they're nothing compared to what else was waiting for Captain Nichols...
His new son, jackson.

The little guy is wearing a t-shirt to express his feelings, because his mommy, Angela Nichols says Jackson will probably sleep right through it.

"He's an angel. He doesn't cry. I have to wake him up to feed him. All he does is sleep. I couldn't ask for a better baby," she says.

Jackson was expected to be born while his father was home on leave.
But mother nature brought him into the world 5-weeks early.
In just a few minutes... Daddy will finally have his big event, too
Angela says, "I can't wait to see his reaction. It's a big life changing event that he was here to experience. It means a lot that he will finally be able to see him."

After meeting Jackson, Josh is welcomed home by other family and friends.
His camoflage can't conceal how wonderfully overwhelming it all is.

"I don't know that there are enough words to describe it. Brand new baby boy. Seen pictures, heard stories. It's a special moment. I don't know how... I don't even know how to describe it," Nichols says.

A first family photo will capture the memory for the rest of their lives.

Nichols says the next few weeks will dedicated to three things, "sleep and eat and play with him, get to know my son."

Jackson's baptism is scheduled for Saturday.

After his leave, Captain Joshua will be back in Iraq to continue his second tour of duty until November.
