Air Force Captain Gane Gehrmann is a 1998 graduate of Merrill High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering.

He's an F-16 fighter jet pilot who's been on active duty since December.

Gehrmann is expected to return to the United States in May when he'll be stationed in Nevada.

When he isn't serving our country, Gehrmann likes to hunt, fish and ski.
