| Johnny Goldsberry, age 71, of Mattoon, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Shawano Medical Center. He was born on May 28, 1938 in Johnstown, Ohio, the son of the late John Goldsberry and Frances (Christ) Goldsberry, Johnstown, Ohio. On June 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Martha Thrush in North Carolina. She survives. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Matthew (Yvonne) Goldsberry, Connellsville, PA, Molly (Leonard, Sr.) Welch, Bowler, Jennifer (James) Onesti, Wittenberg, Mary (Greg) Hiltgen, Shawano and James (Kirstin) Goldsberry, Dayton, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Sandy (Dick) Garrabrant, Johnstown, Ohio. In addition to his father, Johnny was preceded in death by two sons; Jeff and Joe. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Mattoon Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Matthew Goldsberry will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Almon, Shawano county. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Friday at Johnny’s daughter’s residence; W12246 River Road, Bowler, on the Stockbridge Reservation; and on Saturday from 9am until the time of services at the church.
