150 Attend "The Giant Spider Invasion" Screening in Merrill
About 150 people turned out for a one time viewing of a cult classic film "The Giant Spider Invasion." It made a return to the Cosmo Theater in Merrill for a screening on Wednesday, Dec. 5th.
Originally the theater owners were only going to play it on one screen, but due to the high turnout the film was played in two auditoriums. Admission was free, however, moviegoers were asked to bring two non-perishable food items that were in turn donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Merrill.
“The Giant Spider Invasion” was filmed in Your Town Merrill in 1975 and is rated PG.
The Cosmo Theater is located at 813 East Main Street in Merrill.
