We're taking a look at the latest fitness craze sweeping the nation and Northcentral Wisconsin - yoga for kids. So move over all you LuLu Lemon clad ladies. It's time to say namaste to the monkey bar crowd.
The yoga class the kids go through is very different from their parent's class, but it's all based on the same principle of mind and body connections. The pint-sized practitioners learn balance and focus, and they get some cardio in as well.
If you'd like to check out the fitness craze for yourself, your kids can try it for free this Saturday, January 26th at the Aspirus YMCA in Weston.
The class for 2-5 year olds in from 9-10am. The class for 6-10 year olds is from 10:30-11:30am.
You can also check out the free family yoga class at the Family Resource Center on January 23rd from 6-7pm. This class is for kids between 3 and 7 years old.
