The new Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone is loaded with great features, including two that really make life easier around the house and for parents.
The Nokia Lumia 920 ($99 with 2 year contract) is equiped with wireless charging (built on the Qi standard) and near field communication. This allows the device to connect to a speaker or a wireless charging pad by just putting the phone on it. A great example is the JBL Powerup Speaker ($299), which was build for the Nokia Lumia 920, it has a simple look and connects to the phone via NFC while also charging via the wirless charging capability.
The Nokia Lumia 920 runs the Windows Phone 8 operating system, which is new from Microsoft. One of the great features of Windows Phone 8 is the Kids Corner. This makes the device family friendly by keeping a separate area for the kids. It can be named and even have its own picture. It also keeps kids from accidently sending an e-mail or text from the parent's account. Additionally parents can control the content the kids can access.
