Stunting is a habit for these water walking feigns, and they aren't afraid to show it. Central Wisconsin's water ski team The Water Walkers are prepping for their biggest show of the year coming up this Sunday.

Janelle Goeke says it's a show the Water Walkers are putting on to celebrate war veterans, specifically honoring men in the Man of Honor Society who will be in attendance this weekend. Sunday's event is also a significant fundraiser for the team which functions purely off donations and fund raising.

The team has been in operation since 1997 when the first members gathered together to rent a boat, combine skis, and begin their semi-rough start. But Goeke says now the Water Walkers have their own boat, with their own trailer, with various costumes, all thanks to donations and contributions from the community throughout the years.

Long time Water Walker and Team President Chad Esker noted that anyone, emphasis on anyone, is allowed to join the team, as long as they have a love for the sport because it's a time commitment, and you don't get paid for it.

Their show will take place this Sunday by the Eagle's Club in Wausau at 6 p.m. All the shows are free.
