The United Way of Inner Wisconsin is hosting "Power of the Purse" to raise money for a new initiative called "Learning for Life." It's all volunteer based, focusing on character education and life skills. It's a program designed to be implemented in the classroom.
The "Power of the Purse" is a women's social event featuring appetizers and a silent purse auction.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Tickets are available at River Cities Bank, Riverview Hospital lobby desk and the United Way of Inner Wisconsin.
This event is completely separate from the "Power of the Purse" put on by the United Way of Marathon County. That event is on May 6th.
