This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk and the 230th anniversary of the Montgolfier Brothers' hot air balloon launch. But mankind has dreamed of taking to skies for millenia.
Saturday, UW Marathon County is offering the "Learning to Fly" festival for all ages as part of a month long look at the art and sciences used in flight.
Sunrise 7's Sean Caldwell spoke with UWMC associate professors Diana Budde and Paul Whitaker and as well as John Muir Middle School art teacher Ryan Priebe about some of the family friendly events taking place throughout the day.
With the exception of some cost for materials, most of the events are free. For a full schedule and more information call (715) 261-6235 or click the link below.
