This week marks the one year since the disappearance of six-year-old Timmothy Pitzen. Timmothy vanished with his mother, who was later found dead in an apparent suicide in Rockford Hotel room.

Security video shows the last time the Aurora, Illinois boy and his mother were seen together. It was May 13, 2011. In the video, Timmothy fidgets as he and his mom Amy Fry Pitzen wait in line at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.

Pitzen's neighbor Maria Andrade has been working with police for months. She tells WIFR-TV she was close to the family and believes the energetic upbeat little boy is still alive. Andrade said, “I really believe she would never hurt that kid she would never have hurt him."

Anyone who believes they saw either the boy, his mother, and/or anyone who may have been with them — or anyone who may have information on the case — is asked to call Aurora Police at (630) 256-5500, or their local authorities by dialing 911.
