This week's Pet Project has two parts. The first centers around Black Friday. It's a day most retailers offer some pretty big deals. The Humane Society of Marathon County is no exception. Through the end of November you can adopt any black animal for half off. To adopt, just stop out at the Humane Society at 7001 Packer Drive in Wausau.
The second part of our Pet Project focused on the big Thanksgiving holiday. There's no doubt a lot of food to eat on the holiday, and our furry friends probably wouldn't mind a plate of their own - but Mary Kirlin, the Executive Director, says you need to be really careful about what you give them. She says a little bit of turkey is fine - but stay away from the fatty gravy, any skin or bones from the turkey. For more tips to protect your pet, watch the video above.
