If you’ve recently thought about purchasing an e-reader, you might be a little confused about the features and benefits of each product. Jim Greer, from AT&T stopped by Sunrise 7 Tuesday morning to tell us a little more about two new techy devices; the Amazon Touch Kindle 3G and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Greer says, the Amazon Touch Kindle 3G is an e ink reader, meaning it looks a lot more like paper and is easier on your eyes because it is not back-lit. He also says once fully charged the device can last weeks using its battery.
He also showed us the Samsung Galaxy Tab with a reader app. Greer says both Amazon and Barnes and Noble have the apps. He explains, the apps are free but you usually need an account with Barnes and Noble or Amazon to purchase books. He also says both companies have a huge library of genres. Both also have a frequent buyer program and sometimes you can even borrow books for free. More good news- now some libraries also have e-books available to rent.
