Gadgets to Keep Roadtrips and Family Vacations Happier

There are a couple of new gadgets to help make long cars or family vacations a little friendlier this summer. Jim Greer from AT&T stopped by Sunrise 7, Tuesday to tell us about three new products.

The first is a must have if you have kids. The Sony Playstation Vita takes the Nintendo Gameboy to the next level. The device runs on the 3G network, along with wireless internet. Greer says, “It has full controls, a touchpad on the back, a touch screen on the front, plus it’s really light weight.” Vita also offers gamers to communicate by text messaging. The Playstation Vita also has navigation. The cost ranges from anywhere between $250- $300.

For people who like to listen to music from their phones, but don’t like the sound quality or comfort level of using earbuds, Nokia has now partnered with Monster to create a high-end sound-dampening music headset. You can also use the headphones to talk because they come with a microphone. Moms with love the way they fold nicely into themselves to avoid getting tangled or broken. The Purity headphone range in price from $120- $200.

If you’ve ever purchased a set of earbuds you may have been a little frustrated with the one-size fit’s all style. Moshi Audio offers an ear bud style headphone called Vortex that includes a convenient carrying case. The earbuds come with three different adapters to better fit the ear. It also comes with its own protective and encompassing carrying case. Plus, it is also equipped with an iPhone compatible microphone for answering calls on the fly while listening to your favorite tunes. You can buy the earbuds for about $80.
