Coming off the Packers' big win against the Chicago Bears last night, it's safe to say you're probably more excited than ever about the upcoming football season. And of course, tailgating goes right along with the game itself. Beth Schaefer with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board joined us in studio on Sunrise 7 to share some delicious and surprisingly easy tailgating treats made with real Wisconsin cheese.

Savory Feta Spread:

Ingredients:

1 cup (8 ounces) plain yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
Hot sauce to taste
2/3 cup (6 ounces) Wisconsin Feta Cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup pitted kalamata olives, chopped

Cooking Directions:

Combine all ingredients. Serve with pita chips, flatbread and fresh vegetables.

Serving Suggestion

Wisconsin Feta Spread Roll-Ups: Top flour tortilla with Wisconsin Feta Spread. Add sliced turkey breast, thinly-sliced tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Roll up. Cut into bite-size pieces and serve.

Bacon Man Grilled Cheese

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

8 slices bacon
8 slices whole wheat bread
Butter, as desired
8 1-ounce slices Wisconsin Havarti Cheese

Cooking Directions:

Cook bacon in large skillet. Remove bacon, set aside. Drain grease. Add butter to skillet. Top each with one slice of Wisconsin Havarti Cheese, 2 slices bacon and another cheese slice. Top with remaining bread slices. Cook until bottom bread is toasted, flip and cook until other side is toasted. Serve.

Wisconsin Pepper Jack Cheese may be substituted for Havarti Cheese.

For finger sandwiches, cut into quarters and serve.
