NCW Master Gardeners and Marathon County 4-H will again sponsor the Summer Gardening Series. There is still time to sign up for this six-session series that focuses on family gardening.
The courses will cover all steps in the process from planning the garden, types of gardening, planting, maintaining, insects and plant diseases and garden maintenance.
The hands on program shows participants how to plant raised beds using the square foot gardening method. There will also be hands on activities to involve youth in the gardening experience.
The series will be held from 6- 7:30 p.m. on May 23, May 30, June 13, June 27, July 25, and August 29. The cost is $10 for all six sessions.
