It's been a chilly weekend, but that doesn't mean it's been less of a busy one by any means. Combining the cloudy skies with early mornings makes for a rough wake up call. That's why YMCA Bootcamp Instructor Vickie Christianson has today's Monday Morning Motivation for you.
Sometimes it just takes a high-energy song to kick your mind into wake up mode, and for our studio workout today, Call Me Maybe was first up on the playlist. Christianson says by picking your theme song for the day and following her arm strengthening routine, you can sculpt your body with a little fun and rockability. Plus, it makes for a fun family friendly workout you can encourage your kids to join in on.
Start by step touching left to right, then bring your arms up and down in conjunction with the steps. After a few reps, bring your arms out to a T position and rotate forward and backward in small circles. When the song in over, you'll be feeling it all throughout your arms, believe it or not.
