Rollin' Readers Traveling Library

There is a rolling library coming to town. Well actually, continuing to come to town, as it's been making stops across the area this summer.

It's for students in the DC Everest School District and it's called the Rollin' Readers Traveling Library.

The idea is based on the fact that many low-income children don't have a way to get to the library, so the district decided to bring the library to them.

Organizers stop at several locations every Tuesday afternoon, bringing about 1,500 books with them for the kids to check out and then return the next week.

You can find the library at these locations every Tuesday through August 28th:

Aspen Apartments, 5007 Aspen St., Weston, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Grace Street Park, at the west end of Grace Street in Schofield, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
