River District Theatre presents: "The Belle of Amherst"

You'd be hard pressed to find any English student who hasn't studied the work of Emily Dickinson, but they may not know much about the woman behind the poems.

Sunrise 7's Sean Caldwell spoke with Lisa Burgess who plays Dickinson in a new production of "The Belle of Amherst" opening this weekend from River District Theatre.

River District Theatre's production of "The Belle of Amherst" opens Friday, October 11 with performances at the Wausau YWCA on the 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th. Friday and Saturday's performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available for $10 by phone at (715) 848-8037; for $11 at Sweets on 3rd and the Wisconsin Visitors Center; or $15 at the door.
