For those of you just getting your Monday morning started and needing that little pick me up, here’re a few tips from the pro boot camp instructor herself.
The YMCA’s Vickie Christianson says every summer can be a New Year reset. Remind yourself of the goal that you once covenanted with yourself, your friends, family, or whoever it may be, and reaffirm your dedication to it but starting fresh.
To break that down into smaller baby steps, use every Monday to reset those goals and restart your routines.
Our quick Monday morning workout is a set of squats you can do while your kids play at the park, or while you’re in the comfort of your own home. Find a surface that’s at the level of your hips, stand in first position (a ballet term referring to the stance where your toes are pointed outward at a 45 degree angle and your heels come together) and bend at a comfortable pace so that you’re not straining your muscles, yet can feel the burn.
