River Ranch Fresh Foods Lettuce

A California lettuce grower has expanded a recall of some bagged salads after routine sampling detected listeria contamination. No illnesses have been reported.

The voluntary recall by River Ranch Fresh Foods of Salinas initially included lettuce shipped to California and Colorado. The company said Monday it had expanded the recall to the entire nation.

The bagged salads are sold under the names River Ranch, Farm Stand, Hy-Vee, Marketside, Shurfresh, The Farmer's Market, Cross Valley, Fresh n Easy, Promark, and Sysco.

The recalled retail and foodservice salad bags have "best by" dates between May 12 and May 29 or Julian dates of 118 and 125. The code date is typically located in the upper right hand corner of the bags.

Symptoms of listeria infection include high fever, headache and neck stiffness.

First Fitness Trampolines

Aqua-Leisure Industries Inc. of Avon, Mass., is recalling 40,000 First Fitness Trampolines due to risk of injury.

The trampolines have a metal fatigue bar, meant to help a user keep his or her balance while using the device. But the fatigue bars can break during use, increasing the risk of injury, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The trampolines were imported from China and sold nationwide from September 2010 through April 2010 for about $55.

The trampolines involved in the recall are built for children. They have red and blue handlebars, a blue nylon deck guard and black jumping deck.

"First Fitness" is embossed on the jumping deck in white letters.

They were sold exclusively at Toys R Us retail outlets.

Consumers were advised to stop using the trampolines and prevent children from using them. Consumers can call 888-912-7087 for information, including how to receive a full refund.
