Recall Election Primary Voter Reminders

Tuesday morning kicks off the historical recall elections primary for both republican and democratic seats, and since it's a special primary, you can vote across party lines.

The recall election includes candidates for Wisconsin's state governor, lieutenant governor, and four state senators who all face off for the recall. State election officials expect this race to bring in a 30 to 35% voter turn out, the highest percentage since the state's record set back in 1952. That percentage translates to about 1.5 million voters for all of Wisconsin.

Marathon Park played host to two of the six local polling sites; Rose Garden voters have been relocated to the park since their original site was booked by a different event. Now, the park's polling center is split into two sections each equally staffed to handle the doubled traffic.

All polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters are not required to bring photo ID cards with them to poll locations; however, they will be asked to sign into the poll book.
