Parents: You're Challenged to Read 1,000 Books to your Kids Before Kindergarten

Many parents read to their kids before bed and there are huge benefits to doing so. The benefits are so great, that Marathon County Public Libraries are challenging parents to read 1,000 books before their little ones reach Kindergarten.

Even though it may seem like a hard thing to do, it's really not. Amy Ryan, the library assistant, stopped by Sunrise 7 Tuesday morning to talk about just how easy it is to read that many books to your kids. You can learn more by watching the video above.

The initiative starts Tuesday, September 3rd and to get involved all you have to do is visit any of the Marathon County Public Libraries.
