October 26th is Make A Difference Day and the United Way of Marathon County is hosting a large volunteer event.

They need volunteers to rake leaves of elderly people who cannot rake for themselves.

There are almost 300 yards that need to be raked.

You can help out by showing up at The Armory in Wausau (at the corner of 17th and Sherman) between 8am and 8:30a, Saturday morning.

You need to bring your own rake, and refreshments will be provided afterwards.

All ages are welcome and you do not need to pre-register for the event.
