Milwaukee Jewish Federation to Get New President

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A member of President Obama's administration will be the new president of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

Hannah Rosenthal is currently special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism in the State Department. Since 2009, she's worked on addressing anti-Semitism and other human rights abuses in U.S. foreign policy.

She will start as the new chief executive officer/president of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation in October.

Rosenthal graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She's also the former religious education director at Madison's Temple Beth El and Midwest regional director for U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

The federation's executive committee approved her selection unanimously Wednesday.
