The remains of a burned out church in Medford will be torn down next week so that rebuilding can begin.

The New Life Apostolic Church on East Perkins Street was destroyed by fire August 9th. Since then, the congregation has been meeting at a vacant church owned by Assembly of God nearby on Broadway.

Pastor Ron Schuenke expects insurance will cover most of the replacement costs for a new church on the same site. The congregation plans to start pouring concrete as soon as possible.

The Medford Fire Chief says the cause of the fire is still undetermined.
