Little Britches: Kids Can Show Animals at the Fair This Year

The Marathon County Farm Bureau is excited to offer Marathon County Youth the opportunity to learn how to show a dairy animal at the Wisconsin Valley and Athens Fairs this summer. And…it is free to participate! Youth who would like to participate must register for the event by July 15th. Registration materials can be found online or by contacting Mike Borchardt at 715-897-5356.

Sunday, August 4th at Noon at the Wisconsin Valley Fair

· Participants will be split into two divisions: Ages 5-6 and Ages 7-8

· Participants will be provided/loaned a calf to show! (Calves will be a maximum of 5 months old) All calves will have halters (leashes) for the animal. Children will also receive a brief orientation on how to show and care for their animal.

· Each participant will receive a t-shirt, photo with calf, and a medallion for their efforts

· Little Britches is free to participate in, however, participants are responsible for their own fair admission.

Saturday, August 17th, Athens Fairgrounds at Noon
