Jamison Kampmeyer was killed in the line of duty battling a movie theater fire in Abbotsford last year. He left behind his wife and three little boys. Now, you have an opportunity to take part in an event to not only remember him, but help out a great cause at the same time. We're talking about the 2nd Annual Jamison Kampmeyer Memorial Run. It's happening out in Colby on Saturday.
There's a 5K and 10K race, as well as a 5K walk and a 1 mile kid's run. The race director says there's still time to get involved. You can register by visiting the website posted below or you can stop out at Spare Time Lanes in Colby on Friday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. to pre-register. You can also register the morning of the race with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to the Colby Fire Department for equipment and training purposes. Kampmeyer was a Colby firefighter, EMT and Marathon County Sheriff's deputy. He was also an avid runner.
