It's the First Day of School for Many Students in Central Wisconsin

Students all across our area are back in school as Tuesday is the first day of class. It's always an exciting, but often times, nerve-racking day for both students and staff.

Jeff Reiche, principal of Marathon Area Elementary School and Marathon Venture Academy talked about what the first day is often like. He said, "The first day is a day of mistakes and a day of last minute planning just to pull off a successful day because you can never really count on everything going perfectly that first day."

Principal Reiche says once the first day is over, things tend to get smoother. We also spoke with some students gearing up for their first day. They said they're excited about the first day because they get to see friends they haven't seen in awhile.

All of at NewsChannel 7 wish all of the students and staff a happy first day of school!
