If you've ever bought a Groupon, chances are good you'll be getting an e-mail about a class-action lawsuit.
It's about the expiration dates on the company's daily deals. The suit alleges Groupon imposes illegal and undisclosed deal restrictions like "must use gift certificate in one visit" which they claim violate federal gift card regulations.
Groupon has settled and will have to shell out $8.5 million.
This applies to you if you bought or received a Groupon between November first 2008 and December first 2011.
