If you plan on celebrating your Fourth of July camping at a national forest, leave the fireworks at home.

The forest supervisor of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest says all fireworks are banned.

If you're caught letting off fireworks you could face a fine of $5,000 dollars or time behind bars.

You're also reminded to make sure all fires are out and cold to the touch before leaving them.
