Before you head out the door to cast your ballot in the primary elections today, there are a few key pieces of information you'll want to know.

There are a few big hitting races that will be decided on today, namely the elections for Wisconsin's U.S. Senator, State Senators, and Assembly Representatives. All polling locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. with one exception. If you're in line by 8 p.m., they'll still allow you to cast your ballot.

There are six polling locations in the city of Wausau, but all Wisconsin voters should double check their polling site as this is the first state election with newly drawn districts. To see where your district is voting, or to find out what district you are now a part of, visit www.wisconsinvote.org.

A recent mechanical issue will take Mosinee voters in District 2 ( Wards 3, 4, and 5) from casting their ballots at the National Guard Armory to the Mosinee Recreation Center.

As per usual, you do not need your photo ID to vote today, but if you plan to register there, plan on bringing a valid proof of residency.
