It sounds like a strange concept, dessert for breakfast. but a new study shows it may help you shed pounds.
Registered Dietician Samantha Bulgrin was live on Sunrise 7 to tell us why.
She says the theory behind this new concept is that you satisfy your sweets craving early in the day and get it out of the way so you're not tempted later on.
The key, though, is moderation. You still need to have a regular, healthy breakfast. Just add a small sweet treat to it. You can add things like a small donut or piece of cake, but don't go overboard.
Other options include sweeter breakfast foods like yogurt or fruit so you don't have to make two separate things.
