FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A teen accused in a Fond du Lac County crash that killed three of her friends and injured five others made an initial court appearance Tuesday.
Eighteen-year-old Carly Ottery is charged with three counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. Prosecutors say Ottery was going more than 100 mph in a town of Ashford road Feb. 4 when she lost control and crashed in a field. Fifteen-year-old Sabrina Stahl, 16-year-old Katie Berg and 17-year-old Caitlin Scannell were killed. The Fond du Lac Reporter says some of the girls weren't wearing seat belts.
WFDL reports special prosecutor Christian Gossett says the case could be resolved by the next court hearing. Ottery remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.
During a hearing on July 27 a judge will determine if there is enough evidence send Ottery to trial.
