Christmas Kisses
48 candy cane hersey kisses
1 stick of butter, softened
1 cup granualted sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
red/green food coloring
1. Heat ovet to 350*
2. Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended. Stire together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
3. Divide dough in half and add 25-30 drops of red to one batch and green to the other, then mix until blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are browned and cookie is set. Remove from oven; cool 2-3 minutes. Press a candy kiss into the center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to wire a rack. Cool completely. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
**freeze half the dough and pull out when needed, great recipe to make ahead!
