Congresswoman Baldwin Stresses Importance of Medicare

She's the lone Democrat on the ticket, and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is not wasting any time winning over voters come November.

She and four Republicans are vying for retiring U.S. Senator Herb Kohl's seat.

Baldwin says all four of the potential Republican candidates have embraced Representative Paul Ryan's notion that we should eliminate the guarantee of Medicare, something she strongly disagrees with "I was raised by my grandparents so I learned the values of Medicare and social security at a young age. And I will fight to keep them and strengthen them for future generations" says Baldwin.

Another issue she has strong convictions for is creating jobs. She says she's introduced bi-partisan legislation to help level the playing field when it comes to jobs overseas, and President Obama has signed part of that into law.
