Anne Germain was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December 2011. The tumor, however, was misdiagnosed as benign giving it another year and a half to grow before it was discovered to be cancerous.

The 23-year-old Merrill woman has since undergone two surgeries and multiple round of chemotherapy and radiation. Family members and friends have organized an art auction to show their support for her, how much everyone cares and to help with the financial end of things.

There are a variety of items up for auction including a signed Donald Driver jersey, a football autographed by the 2012 Green Bay Packers, handmade ceramic pieces and paintings.

The gala is Saturday, October 12, 2013 from noon until 3:30pm in the T.B. Scott Library in Merrill. At the gala, you can show your support for Anne and meet her family and friends while enjoying refreshments and seeing some of the items for bid as well as receive technical help for bidding.

Bidding can be done at the Art and Heart for Anne website at the link below and runs through October 15, 2013.
