Low-Calorie Chocolate Cake

1 cup cool water
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup coco powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
Pinch of salt
1 cup Miracle Whip Salad dressing (not light)
2 cups flour.
Whisk till batter is blended. Put in 9" by 13" greased, floured pan and bake 350 degrees for about 25 minutes--test with toothpick.
In a jar I shake 3/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons of flour. Put in double boiler and stir till thick. Set aside to cool, stirring a few times.
In a deep bowl beat 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup room temp butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla till creamy, about 3 minutes.
Add cooled flour mixture and beat till smooth and fluffy--about 5 minutes.
